Website operation
When you visit Cortist, the infrastructure delivering the website processes technical request information. This may include IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and timestamps. Such information supports website delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, visits and page performance. The website loads a lightweight analytics script from Cloudflare. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data for Web Analytics.
Measurements may be incomplete when browsers block analytics requests.
Browser-local Living Cases
The early Cortist Flip experiment saves the cases and observations you choose to create in your browser’s local storage on your device. This content is not sent to Cortist through the Flip feature and is not synchronized between devices. You can remove a case in Flip, export a copy as a JSON file, or clear the website’s local data in your browser.
Deleting browser data, using private browsing or changing devices can make locally saved cases unavailable. Do not rely on this experiment as the only copy of important information.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to share. We use that information to read and respond to your message and handle related follow-up correspondence.
External websites
Our news articles link to external sources. When you follow those links, the destination website handles data under its own privacy practices.
